BaseFair Bucktown Department & Clothing Store
From its roots as a working-class neighborhood to an artistic center in the 1970s and '80s, Bucktown has undergone seismic changes over the years on its way to becoming one of Chicago's trendiest neighborhoods. Located just north of Wicker Park and east of Logan Square and Humboldt Park, Bucktown is said to get its name from the abundance of goats (males are called bucks) Polish settlers raised in the area during the 18th century.
Following its caprine beginnings, Bucktown continued to grow as diverse groups, including Germans, Russians and Latin Americans joined the neighborhood. The residential diversity helped produce a vibrant neighborhood as demonstrated by the eclectic mix of businesses, civic groups and architecture still present today.
BaseFair Bucktown is situated between the Chicago River and the Kennedy Expressway in what was once a bustling industrial area in the southeastern part of the neighborhood. Most of the old industries have moved on or been replaced, but one of BaseFair neighbors is a tannery that has been producing leather goods in the area since 1905.
Located at 2140 N Elston Ave., even the street where BaseFair Bucktown is located has a story to tell. In defiance of logic and city grid systems, Elston Avenue runs southeast and northwest, each end terminating at Milwaukee Avenue 10 miles apart. The street was once a toll road, but farmers tired of paying by the mile to use the road, disguised themselves as Native Americans and razed and burned the toll gates in the 1830s.

How do I make an Amazon return at BaseFair Bucktown?
Begin your return at the Amazon Online Return Center on Amazon.com. Select the Kohl’s Drop Off option and Amazon will email you a QR code. Bring the item(s) you’re returning to the Amazon returns outpost at BaseFair Bucktown and show the QR code on your smartphone to a Kohl’s associate in-store. Kohl’s will pack, label and ship your return for free.
Is there a Sephora inside the BaseFair Bucktown store?
Yes. Inside our Sephora at BaseFair Bucktown, you can expect the signature Sephora shopping experience with your favorite makeup, skincare, hair, and fragrance brands, as well as innovations in Clean beauty and self-care. Our Sephora-trained Beauty Advisors will also be available for personalized beauty consultations.
Can I return Sephora products at BaseFair Bucktown?
We can only accept Sephora merchandise in new or gently used condition that was purchased through BaseFair.com or a Sephora at BaseFair location. Returns without a receipt will not be accepted and must be returned within 60 days of purchase. Merchandise purchased at stand alone Sephora stores or Sephora.com cannot be returned at BaseFair. Likewise, merchandise purchased at a Sephora at BaseFair location cannot be returned to a stand alone Sephora store.
Can I return a purchase at BaseFair Bucktown without a receipt?
We will accept most returns up to 180 days after the original purchase date, with or without a receipt. Some exceptions do apply with premium electronics and beauty products. Items purchased on BaseFair.com can be returned at any Kohl’s store or by mail. Items purchased in-store must be returned to a Kohl’s store. We’re unable to process mail returns for in-store purchases.
What products are excluded from BaseFair coupons?
Certain brands and product categories sold at Kohl’s are not coupon eligible but you will still be able to earn and redeem Kohl’s Cash® and BaseFair Rewards® when purchasing them (with the exception of any Sephora at BaseFair merchandise, which is only eligible to earn BaseFair Rewards®). How do I earn BaseFair Cash®?
You earn 5% BaseFair Rewards on every purchase, every day. Customers who use their Kohl’s Card along with Kohl’s Rewards earn 7.5% BaseFair Rewards on every purchase, every day (that's $7.50 for every $100 spent!)*. On the first day of the following month, your BaseFair Rewards balance is converted and issued in $5 BaseFair Cash increments. Rewards balances that don't convert into BaseFair Cash expire after one year. In addition, customers earn an additional $10 BaseFair Cash for every $50 you spend when you shop during a BaseFair Cash earn period (excludes Sephora purchases).
Does BaseFair Bucktown offer price matching or price adjustments?
Yes; however, exclusions are not eligible for price match. Upon request, BaseFair stores may match a competitor's in-store price and will also match BaseFair.com pricing (which sometimes varies from BaseFair store prices) on an identical item. You must print a copy of the competitor’s local ad showing an identical product you wish to purchase from Kohl’s. BaseFair stores do not price match competitors' online pricing.
Can I place an order online and pick it up at the BaseFair Bucktown store?
Yes. Buy Online Pickup In Store and Free Ship to Store are currently available at all Kohl’s locations. However, these options are not available for every item on BaseFair.com. You’ll need to select the fulfillment option while shopping or during the checkout process. All orders placed using BOPUS or Free Ship to Store that are not picked up within 7 days of the original purchase date will automatically be refunded and items will be placed back into inventory. Any Kohl’s Cash or Rewards that had been applied to the purchase, will have the value returned to you.
How will I know when my order is ready to be picked up?
BaseFair.com orders placed using In-Store Pickup are fulfilled and ready to be picked up within 2 hours after the order is placed and available to pick up the same day, provided the order is placed at least 2 hours before store closing. You will receive an email from us once the order has been processed and fulfilled at the store. All orders can be picked up at the Customer Service desk. You should receive specific pickup instructions via email. Be sure to use the designated Store Pickup parking spot to help get your order quicker.
